Create and Manage Business Trips as an Admin

The Trips feature in Hypercard allows you to record business travel, group related expenses, and streamline the reimbursement process. This guide explains how to access the Trips page, create new trips for your employees, and assign employees to the trip.

Accessing the Trips Page

  1. Log in to your Hyper account.
  2. From the left-hand navigation column, click on Travel and from the drop-down list, click on Trips.
  3. The Trips page will open, where you will be able to view your:
    1. Active trips (currently in progress)
    2. Upcoming trips (planned future travel)
    3. Historical trips (completed travel)

Viewing Trips

The main Trips page shows a list of all travel records. For each trip, you will see:
  1. Trip Name
  2. Start and End Dates
  3. Origin and Destination

Creating a New Trip

You can create a new trip in Hyper in two easy ways:

From the Home Page
  1. Log into your Hyper dashboard.
  2. On the home page, click Create Trip at the top right of the screen.
  3. This will open the Trips dashboard.
  4. Click Create Trip again at the top right.
  5. A pop-up window will appear where you will:
    1. Enter the Trip Name
    2. Select the Origin
    3. Select the Destination
    4. Choose the Departure Date and Departure Time
    5. Choose the Return Date and Return Time
    6. Add Members.
  6. Once all details are entered, click Create Trip to finalize.
Creating a New Trip

From the Travel Menu
  1. In your Hyper dashboard, click Travel from the left navigation menu.
  2. From the drop-down, select Trips.
  3. Follow the same steps as above to create your trip.

Once a Trip is created, any Per Diems set up by your admin will automatically be associated with your trip as per your per diems policy and will be activated in the Per Diems page when the trip starts.
